New Category - CUPCAKES

~.~.~.~.~

...it's true... I am endeavoring to recategorize the arty items in my ETSY shop and I will be adding "CUPCAKES" (or some such similar subject)

as a unique category. The thing is - I am also dreaming of cakes and candies and ice cream cones as well - so many sweet items will soon be appearing on

eco-bags, notecards, and in original

paintings (it isn't JUST a cupcake thing anymore... I am expanding my culinarty horizons). Ha ha - culinarty... good new word... I crack me up. In fact - THAT wil be the new category: CULiNARTY (look for it soonish)

I created a series of 2" acrlic paintings of various YUMMY CUPCAKES - and have now recreated them on greeting cards! I have a set of four available. The cards measure 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (plus envelopes) ~ the backsides have my art information and the title. The insides are BLANK for your own sentiment. SERIES TITLE: "You're my cuppie cake gumdrop" VIVID COLOR on professional RECYCLED grocery sack paper! ~~ THEN each one is HANDCOLORED by me with PRISMA COLOR PENCILS!!! WoW!!! HOT PINK Envelopes make them SMASHING!

Cuppies 'n Friends

Above is a collection of one dozen healthy cupcakes - painted with acrylics on archival textured artist mat board - each measuring a tiny 2-inches square. I am not quite done yet ...

I have ideas to frame them on larger pieces of stock -- maybe use them on tags or cards ... I'm not sure yet exactly where they will all go, but I have been enjoying the 'baking' process since I have been away from my studio for too long!

My heart in this and my inspiration goes to this amazing artist:

Adrienne Trafford Art (find her BLOG here) ...

also Amy Weber Art (who wisely and intuitively brought several of us together many years ago) ... Francesca Burras (who has always been an immeasurable support - esp back in '06 with this enormous project)... also the gifted Denise Aumick of WildThreadStudio, the elegant Stacey Maddock at smaddockdesigns, and a few treasured other sisters you must visit (scroll down to the right and look under STUDIO33 artists) ~!!
