HaPPY BoNES

CHiLDReN oF the LiViNG GoD!

~Fernando Ortega~

(joyful music to play as you look around)

Psalm 139:13-17

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!

Proverbs 3:7-9

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

Proverbs 15:29-31

The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.

Proverbs 16:23-25

A wise man's heart guides his mouth, and his lips promote instruction.
Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.

Ha Ha - I'm commenting first here on my bloggy.

Do visit Fernando Ortega's website - the link is to the left of the page under MY JUKEBOX.

You will be greeted there with "grace and peace"...

Pause awhile and be refreshed...

The song featured on the blog ~ Children of the Living God was inspired by time Fernando spent in Lancaster Pa (area) among the Amish. We have been blessed at our church to have had him perform and share stories and inspiration.
He is a lovely man who loves his lovely wife...and his God (and my God, too).

I love that song. I think about that song when I think about me dying while my kids are still young. I was little when my mom died and had no idea that there was more than just putting her in the ground. I want my kids to know that if something happens to me, God is still good and they can continue to be happy enough to dance at my grave and serve their Lord even when it hurts. I see them dancing to this song and it's so reassuring.

That is really good.

Still having my parents - into their 80's - and me being the youngest of 6 - makes me unable to fully imagine what it was like for you to lose your mom so young.

Your words are profound.

I always relate this song to funerals (well, Fernando did - so I can never not think of it that way) - but your vivid imagery of beautiful children celebrating even in physical loss is breath taking.

thanks xo
