Friends, here now, gone away, firecrackers, and memories

Happy Picnic Day... a day to catch up on yard-work, eat way too many grilled goodies, gather to watch enormously expensive explosions...remember those gone and, hopefully, look ahead with hope.

Find a good history book.. I recommend, ironically enough written by a Brit, "A History of the American People" by Paul Johnson...
